iPhone is used by many people thanks to its luxurious design and good configuration. However, Apple is still “hiding” from us the cool features on these smartphones?

Send voice messages in iMessage

iMessage on iPhone is a utility that helps users to message back and forth between iPhones without the need for another application and completely free.

Chatting with friends and family through voice messaging is easy. When you are in a conversation, just touch and hold the small microphone icon next to the chat frame. Voice messages are automatically recorded. Release your finger to finish. You can listen back to the message, edit it before sending it.

Quick Reply

The phone notifies you that you have received a message. How to reply right on the lock screen without going to the messaging app, rereading and then replying. Very simply, on the lock screen, touch the message, swipe left, the screen will show the Reply button (Reply), and you can type the reply right on the lock screen.

If your iPhone supports 3D Touch, try tapping a notification longer on the Lock Screen or in Notification Center. You will usually get advanced options like: Actionable shortcuts to archive an email, accept calendar invitations, reply to a message,… and can see a preview of that message.

Try to get in the habit of viewing 3D Touching notifications to see all your messages and replies without opening the app. It will save you quite a bit of time.

3D Touch Mouse Pointer

If you’re using an iPhone 6s or later, just press firmly on the keyboard and it will instantly turn into a virtual touchpad. You can then swipe in any direction and the pointer will move in the corresponding direction.

Share app extension

Sharing extensions make sharing content with people, or in some cases with other apps, quick and easy on iPhone. To enable sharing extensions or actions, open an app that allows you to share content.

Safari is a good example because everyone has it and it’s usually available on the iPhone home screen. Once open, visit the website and tap the “Share” button in the navigation bar at the bottom of the screen. Drag all the way to the right and click the “More” button with the icon of three dots.

The next screen shows any available manipulation or sharing widgets, depending on the row you selected. To enable an extension, toggle the switch next to it

Widgets

Since Apple updated to iOS 10, the iOS widgets have been rearranged by Apple and arranged into their own screens, no longer in the Notification Center. Besides, there are also more handy Widgets released on the App Store for users to download and use.

To open the screen containing widgets on iOS 10 you have to swipe the lock screen to the right or from the main screen you swipe from the top to open the Notification Center bar. From that bar, you swipe right to switch to the screen containing the widget.

To add a new widget, scroll to the bottom of the widget screen, tap Edit. On the next Add Widgets screen, which displays a list of all the widgets you can use, click the plus sign next to the name of the widget you want to activate.
